DBX-2000 type electric meter box is a terminal distribution enclosure designed for installing single-phase electric energy meters (220V), primarily used for revenue metering and power distribution in civil buildings (residential apartments, houses, dormitories) and commercial outlets (retail shops, small offices). It provides a standardized, secure, and tamper-proof housing for utility-grade electricity metering equipment.

The enclosure accommodates one single-phase meter per unit, with dedicated physically separated compartments for the incoming utility service cable, the metering device, and the outgoing consumer-side overcurrent protection device. This clear utility-consumer demarcation meets the isolation requirements stipulated in electricity supply regulations.
