DBX-3000 type electric meter box is a terminal distribution enclosure designed for installing single-phase electric energy meters (220V), primarily used for revenue metering and power distribution in civil buildings (residential apartments, dormitories) and commercial outlets (retail shops, small offices). It provides a standardized, secure, and tamper-proof housing for utility-grade electricity metering equipment.

The enclosure accommodates one single-phase meter per unit compartment, with dedicated spaces for the incoming utility service cable, the meter itself, and the outgoing consumer-side circuit breaker. The design ensures proper separation between utility-owned (metering) and consumer-owned (load-side) sections, meeting the isolation requirements of electricity supply regulations.
