GGD Fixed Type Low Voltage Switchgear
GGD fixed type low voltage switchgear (also known as GGD power distribution cabinet) is a widely adopted fixed-mounting LV switchgear solution designed for AC 50Hz/60Hz power systems with rated voltage of 380V/400V and rated current up to 3150A. Manufactured by GOHO in full compliance with IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2 standards, GGD switchgear is used for power distribution, lighting control, and power conversion in substations, factories, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects.
Unlike withdrawable types (MNS/GCS/GCK), the GGD series features a fixed-mounting design with all main components — including air circuit breakers (ACB), moulded case circuit breakers (MCCB), contactors, and metering devices — mounted directly on the busbar system within a metal-enclosed frame. This simplified construction eliminates the need for draw-out carriages, slide rails, and secondary disconnect contacts, resulting in a more robust, economical, and reliable solution for applications where frequent unit replacement or hot-swap capability is not required.
The enclosure is constructed from cold-rolled steel plate with epoxy powder coating, featuring a modular frame design with front-access cable termination and side-panel busbar connection for straightforward panel-to-panel assembly.

Key Features
- Simple & Robust Fixed Design: All power and control components are permanently mounted and wired — the absence of moving carriages, slide rails, draw-out mechanisms, and secondary disconnects eliminates the most common sources of mechanical failure in withdrawable switchgear, resulting in inherently higher reliability and lower failure rates over the equipment service life
- Cost Advantage: The fixed-mounting design reduces manufacturing complexity by eliminating precision-machined carriage components, multi-finger contact systems, and interlock mechanisms — this translates to a 20–40% lower initial capital cost compared to equivalent-rated withdrawable switchgear while maintaining the same performance and safety standards
- High Breaking Capacity: Main busbar system rated up to 3150A with 50kA short-time withstand capacity and 105kA peak withstand current, ensuring reliable performance under moderate short-circuit conditions in standard industrial and commercial distribution networks
- Easy Installation and Commissioning: Simple panel-to-panel busbar connections using bolted copper bars, front-accessible cable termination points, and clearly numbered wiring terminals — significantly reducing on-site installation time and minimizing the risk of wiring errors during commissioning
- Proven and Mature Technology: GGD has been the most widely used low voltage fixed switchgear model in China for over three decades, with hundreds of thousands of installations in operation — its design is mature, field-proven, and well understood by electrical contractors, maintenance personnel, and consulting engineers nationwide
- Straightforward Maintenance: All components are front-accessible with adequate working space — routine inspection, cleaning, and component replacement can be performed by standard electrical maintenance staff without specialized training in withdrawable mechanism handling
- Flexible Configuration: Supports a wide range of standard main circuit schemes and auxiliary control schemes for incoming feeders, outgoing feeders, bus-riser sections, metering, capacitor compensation, and lighting distribution within a coordinated switchboard assembly
- Lower Lifetime Maintenance Cost: Without drawer mechanisms to maintain, lubricate, or repair, the GGD series requires significantly less maintenance time and spare parts inventory over its operational lifetime compared to withdrawable alternatives
